The highly awaited third season of the reality game show Dus Ka Dum made a comeback to the small screen yesterday (4th June, 2018).
As expected, the show started with a power-packed performance by the host-actor Salman Khan. Post that, Salman welcomed the contestants and the in-house audience.
The first contestant Abhishek Garg, a banker from Rajasthan, made his appearance. Then Shama Parveer for Bareily, Uttar Pradesh, was introduced to the audience as the second contestant.
Host Salman Khan explained the rules of the game for everyone’s benefit.

The first round begins and Shama Parveen wins Rs 20,000 on answering the first question correctly. The second question brought the two of them neck to neck as there was just a difference on one percentage in their answers. Shama wins this one as well and bags Rs 40,000.
Abhishek chose to take his family’s assistance in answering the next question. This was a tie as both the contestants gave 39% to the question. Abhishek won Re 20,000 and Shama amassed Rs 60,000 in total.
Shama managed to beat Abhishek in the next question as well. Her total prize money came to Rs 80, 000. She took her family’s assistance in answering the fifth question and, much to her delight, she won Rs 1 Lakh by getting the answer right.
Post that, Shama enters the second round. Host Salman Khan explains the rules of the game to her. Unfortunately, Shama fails to hit the bull’s eye in the first question of the second round. Post that, she attempts the second question for Rs 2 lakh. She wins the said amount by answering this question correctly.
Next, Shama attempts the 3rd question. She took the help of audience poll to gauge her next answer. She bags Rs 4 lakhs after answering that one. She goes ahead to win 6 lakhs with the next question and qualifies to attempt the ‘super sawaal’.

Host Salman Khan explains what the ‘Super Sawaal’ is all about. He tells Shama that if she answers that correctly she will Rs 60 lakh and if she fails to do so, her prize money will come down to Rs 60,000. She has the choice to walk away if she doesn’t feel confident about the question. She exercises that choice and quits the game at that stage. She walks away with 6 lakh rupees.
All in all, it was an engaging watch as Salman Khan kept the viewers hooked with his signature style. It waits to be seen if the show will continue to keep the audience’s interest alive for a long spell.
