Saudi government launches apps for Haj pilgrimage.
Every year, religious devotees of different parts of the world gather in Holy Makkah for Holy Hajj celebrations.
In order to facilitate these religious pilgrims, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Saudi Arabia has launched a new initiative called ‘Smart Hajj’.
Under this initiative, the Saudi government has launched several apps to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims. News Saudi Gadget.
Using these apps, pilgrims can arrange everything from their travel plans to medical services.
Asefny is Saudi Arabia’s Red Crescent App, which allows pilgrims to seek emergency help. In the app there are six language provided so that they can easily ask help and the authority can know the location who require various emergency support.
The Saudi Haj Ministry has launched another app called Manasikana. Those who do not know Arabic or English for such people to move from one place to another there are various instructions, including information, timings, weather of Mecca-Medina, currency exchange rates and places and emergency phone numbers and emergency information included on the app. All information will be available in eight languages in the app.
There are a number of digital services and important apps under this initiative. Hajj.media.gov.sa has said that the Hajj code of conduct, map of various holy places, technical guidance and guidelines, health related apps and government applications have been launched with the help of the pilgrims of Mecca and Medina.
