Facebook launches online dating service in Colombia.

Facebook has launched their first online dating service yesterday like mobile apps tinder and bumble. Started in Colombia on experimental basis they want to play the role of matchmaker in social media.

According to the logical website ‘The Verge’ In the first view, ‘Facebook online dating service’ is like their rival ‘Hingez’. They are following swipe model in this  service like tinder.

User has to answer a few questions on their profile and they can start chatting.

Several groups and events have been added to Facebook dating services. It also gives users the benefit of group-based conversations.

Facebook’s product manager Nathan Sharp said, “We’ve been looking at dating or romantic issues for a long time on Facebook.

We want to make matters easier and more comfortable for those who want to love. Now is the right time to do this.

On Facebook mobile apps the dating service can found.

But the desktop version will not be available right now. In the beginning, more than 18 years of age can use it. No ads will be shown on this and there will be no premium features.

No money needed to use this service.

Since the beginning of August, the app started testing internally on Facebook. In the beginning the workers created their profile with fake information. Facebook authorities have asked to remove those fake accounts before it is open to everyone.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of the dating app on Facebook’s annual developer conference F8 onmay this year.
