PEC and equivalent Ebtedayee examinations will begin Nov 18

The largest public tests in Bangladesh, Primary Education Completion (PEC) and equivalent Ebtedayee examinations for fifth graders will begin on November 18 according to an official of the primary and mass education ministry.

The exam schedule was fixed at a meeting headed by Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman at the secretariat on Wednesday, said Rabindranath Roy, Information and Public Relations officer of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry.

The examinations will start at 10:30am instead of 11:00am, with duration of two and half hours.

The official said the exam papers will be evaluated in the respective upazilas. Earlier these were evaluated in different upazilas.

In special cases, a candidate will be given an additional 30 minutes instead of 20 minutes.

The exam schedule for Ebtedayee: English on November 18, Bangla on November 19, Bangladesh and World Introduction and Science on November 20, Arabic on November 22, Math on November 25 and Quran and Tajbid and Akaid and Fikh on November 26.

The exams will end on 26 November.
