Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Sunday said they are working to set up the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) for non-MPO education institutions from July, reports UNB.
Nahid disclosed as much during a marketing ceremony for Class 11 books at the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) auditorium at noon.
He said a committee is working as per the policy adopted for MPO. The MPO facility will be awarded, that is the first money transfers will be made soon after its allocation from the budget for the 2018-19 fiscal is finalised.
A total of five ministries have been working to get the facility up and running for the schools that will be newly added to the list.
According to the policy, the MPO will be awarded to ‘all eligible non-MPO educational institutions’.
