Legendary singer Ayub Bachchu is no more.
Legendary Bangladeshi singer, guitarist and songwriter Ayub Bachchu is no more. (Innalillahi wa-inna ilaihi rajiun).
His relatives said he had suffered a cardiac arrest at his Dhanmondi residence in the morning. The singer was then taken to Square Hospitals where physicians declared him dead around 9:55am.
A physician at the hospital said Bachchu was brought in around 9:30am, but he had died before he was taken to the hospital.
Namaje Janazaaja of Ayub Bachchu will be held on tomorrow at National Eidgah.
To give the last public tribute to Ayub Bachchu, his body will be kept at the Central Shaheed Minar from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm tomorrow.
After paying tribute, Ayub Bachchu’s body will be taken to the National Eidgah ground. The second namaz-e-janaza will be held at Tejgaon in Channel I premises.
Then the legendary musician’s body will be taken to his fathers home at Chittagong. After Ayub Bacchu’s daughter and son arrived from Australia and Canada, Ayub Bacchu’s funeral will be complete in the house next Saturday morning.
President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, opposition leader Rowshan Ershad, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and many political leaders mourned the death of Ayub Bachchu.
Ayub Bachchu was a Bangladeshi musician. He was best known as a founding member of the rock band LRB. He was initially a member of the band Feelings and later he joined the band Souls as lead guitarist. He died on October 18, 2018.
