At last teletalk 4G is coming on 16 December.
Teletalk is the only state owned company in the number of mobile phone operators in Bangladesh. Other non-government mobile phone operators already launched the fourth-generation internet service but this mobile phone operator is behind from them.
Teletalk is going to start this service almost 10 months after the launch of the 4G in Bangladesh. Customers can enjoy the service in the current month of victory.
Rezaul Kabir, Project Director, Teletalk, confirmed the launch of the 4G, he said that they have taken initiative to start commercial services in Dhaka and Chittagong in the month of victory and they are going ahead with the plan.
“It has been decided to launch on December 16 on the Victory Day.”
Teletaks’s relative said that in the meantime they have started 4G service in city’s 20 points along with Dhanmondi, Gulshan, Khilkhet, Banani and other places as a test.
Earlier after getting license in February Grameenphone, Robi and Banglalink launched the 4G technology. However, all the operators were licensed on the same day during the 3G period.
However, apart from Teletalk, other operators were allowed to launch 3G services a year later.
Though Teletalk were ahead in 3G service but in modern 4G service they are behind from others.
Earlier Teletak tried to launch 4G service but failed.
Rezaul Kabir said it will take up to June next year to complete this service nationwide. Customers of Teletalk will be covered under the 4G service.
