ADB will provide $3 lakh to Bangladesh in aid to combat Corona.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced one lakh dollars in financial assistance to Bangladesh to fight coronavirus.
This support is being provided from ADB’s Regional Fund for Regional Level Technical Assistance in Preventing Corona virus and Fighting with Other Viruses.
The information was sent from ADB’s Dhaka Residential Office on Saturday (March 25th).
According to the message, the ADB wants to stay with the citizens of Bangladesh in the face of global crisis and coronavirus. For this, it has been decided to provide three lakh dollars emergency financial assistance to Bangladesh.

With this money, emergency medical equipment, personal protective equipment, N95 masks, safety glasses, aprons, thermometers and biohazard bags can be collected to prevent the virus. However, the Ministry of Health’s list regarding procurement of emergency medical equipment will be given priority.
In a message, ADB Country Director Manmohan Prakash said, “ADB will fully support Bangladesh in the fight against Corona. ADB is on the side of the Bangladesh government to deal with the present critical situation.
This assistance from the ADB will help increase Bangladesh’s ability to cope with the problems.
The message also states that ADB formed a primary fund of $650 crore on March 18 to prevent coronavirus. The funds will be provided to the bank’s development partner countries.
ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa said, “The global pandemic coronavirus is now a threat to the entire world. It needs to be strengthened at the national, regional and global levels to prevent it.
For this, ADB will provide financial support whenever it is needed.
